Cellar Practices

A 48 hour cold maceration was given prior to fermentation to extract colour and fruit. During fermentation punch downs were done 3 times a day. Skins were gently pressed before fermented dry. MLF took place in barrels. Matured for 22 months in 67% new and 33% 2nd fill French barrels. Bottled and laid to rest and aged till released.

Tasting Notes

ApluDeep red colour has intense red fruit aromas of cherry, strawberry and cranberry with underlying coconut and cinnamon spice on the nose. These exquisite aromas carry through onto a rich, creamy lingering palate. Silky well integrated and elegant tannins shows the perfect harmony and balalce. Superb fine dining wine.


100% Pinotage


Grapes were night harvested, picked by hand to retain flavours. Yield 5.8 tons / ha
